Salvation

Do You Know God?

Your eternity Depends on it

What are You Looking for?

Everyone is looking for something or someone outside of God to completely satisfy them, but they will never find it. Many believe that education will solve all of their financial problems. Society is drowning itself in pornography & sex, trying to satisfy the desire to be loved outside of marriage. Supposedly alcohol & drugs can erase the past, but what’s the result? After they get the very thing they were longing for and after experiencing many pleasures they are still completely dissatisfied. Do you know why? Earthly pleasures are incapable of filling the void within their heart because every human being is created in the image of God. God is the only one who can completely satisfy you because He’s your CREATOR. The purpose of your life can only be found in God. The main purpose of your life is to know God & enjoy Him forever, but you have a problem that you can’t resolve on your own…SIN.

Are You Guilty of Sin?

Sin is disobeying God. All have sinned & have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Because of sin every person has fallen short of God’s perfection which all mankind is judged by. Have you ever lied even if it may have been only one time? Have you ever stolen anything (the value is irrelevant)? If you’re honest and answer “Yes” you are thief & a liar. That’s bad news, isn’t it? Have you ever had sexual relations with someone outside of marriage? If you have, you’re a fornicator. Jesus said, “Everyone that looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28.

Is there Hope for You?

The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). Because of God’s love, He sent His Son into the world to redeem many from their sins. Jesus Christ took upon Himself the punishment that you deserve. Why? Because God required that a man pay for sin, but not just any man, a perfect man, without sin. God Himself became man and His name is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was born of the Holy Spirit and without sin. As the God-man, His sacrifice completely and perfectly satisfied the wrath of God. Jesus Christ paid the debt of sin that no-one could pay on their own. After Jesus Christ died a physical death, He was buried and three days later He defeated death when He resurrected from the grave. Although every human being will die a physical death because of sin, they can survive spiritual death & destruction by trusting and believing in Jesus Christ alone to save them. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved (Romans 10:9-10). What a promise!

You, just like every human being is born into sin. Sin is a death sentence in which God’s wrath abides unless He would grant you grace unto salvation. Grace is God giving you what you do not deserve. No one can say that they are worthy of salvation when they are measured against the holiness and righteousness of God. He is the author of salvation, and He alone grants salvation to whom He chooses. The only remedy is to believe in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, believing that in His death He satisfied God’s justice. God is HOLY, INFINITE, ETERNAL, and UNCHANGING in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth. As the Righteous Judge, God perfectly judges all sin according to His perfection, of which everyone misses the mark. It is decreed that every man will die once and afterwards comes judgment (Hebrews 9:27). God grants faith to believe in Jesus Christ through the receiving of His holy word and the work of the Holy Spirit. If you are aware of your sin and are broken for offending God in your disobedience to His Law and have come to believe that Jesus Christ is your only Hope of Salvation, confess your sin to God and receive God’s forgiveness.

What Should You do now?

The new life that God grants will be made known in brokenness for your sins and your desire to submit to His authority. God’s transforming work in you will produce repentance from sin and give you new thoughts and desires to live a life that is holy & pleasing to Him. You can begin to know God by reading the Bible and attending a New Testament church that submits to the authority of Scripture. As you learn of Jesus Christ, follow Him, trust Him, and obey Him. Turn away from your sins, leave them behind, and begin to live the new life that God offers by grace through faith.
